Welcome to Crypto Stocks Uk, This blog will cover my personal journey as i navigate my way through the world of Crypto Currency related stocks, predominantly ones based in the UK. Please do not take any of my posts as investment advice and always do your own research. Crypto stocks are known for high volatility and can fall as fast as they move upward. I am not a market professional, just a retail investor finding my way in the brave new world.
My first introduction to crypto-based stocks was way back during the days of the pandemic, stuck at home, with little to do, I found the stock market a way of keeping myself busy. Pre-2020, i mainly invested in index funds, but as the boredom kicked in i found myself entering into higher risk trades, initially with Oil and Gas stocks, then as the Bitcoin bullrun began to really take hold in late 2020, crypto stocks founf their way into my portfolio.
As any veteran of the last bull run will tell you, this is not for the faint-hearted. Life-changing wealth can and will be gained and lost in a matter of days. For reasons unknown to myself at the time, i found myself researching Argo Blockchain, back when the wider market was ignoring it and it was hovering around 5p per share. At this stage BTC was trading around $10-20k and the wider market seemed to have missed something. Having been following many BTC maxi’s for a few years, i had an idea that Bitcoin, may well do what the fanboys were predicting, so i decided to take a position and wait it out.
As anyone involved in the markets now knows, the rest was history. Argo Blockchain made a heroic move, taking many by surprise, not least myself. It was at this point i become hooked on crypto stocks and they would become my obsession during the bear market, seeking out what looked like undervalued propositions, ready for the inevitable turnaround after the Bitcoin halving of 2024.
So here I am, it’s now 2025 and I’ve decided to put my journey down in the form of a blog, the wins, the losses and the missed opportunities. I hope you enjoy it and maybe some of you will come along for the ride.
Finally invest safely – do your own research – you only have yourself to blame if it all goes wrong!
